Arambagh Krira Sangha advanced to the semifinals of the 3rd Under-18 Football Tournament eliminating Saif Sporting Club by 2-0 goals in the 3rd quarterfinal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Monday.
After a barren first half, Shakil Ahmed put Arambagh KS ahead in the 51st minute while Fahimuddin Sohel scored the 2nd goal in the stoppage time of the match.
Arambagh KS will play the 2nd semifinal against either Dhaka Abahani Limited or Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, which will meet each other in the last quarterfinals on Tuesday while Brothers Union Club will encounter Farashganj SC in the first semifinal.
