U-16 women’s football team go through recovery session in Bangkok

After winning the first practice match, the Bangladesh U-16 women’s football team went through a practical recovery session last morning at Muangtong United Football academy in Bangkok, Thailand.
It was positive start for Bangladesh as they recorded a solitary goal win over Chonburi Academy U-17 team in the first practice match held on Friday evening in Thailand.
In the day’s match, Shamsunnahar scored the all-important goal for Bangladesh in the 32nd minute of the match.
The women’s in red and green will play the second practice match against the same opponent on September 9 and the last one against Kasetsart University Women’s team slated for September 11.
Bangladesh U-16 women’s team now in Thailand to take part in the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship scheduled to be held on September 15-28 in Thailand.
The women in red and green were pitted in Group A alongside the hosts, with Japan and Australia being the other two teams. Group B consist North Korea, South Korea, China and Vietnam.
The two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals while the champions and runners-up teams will join hosts India in the 2020 Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on host Thailand on September 15 at Chonburi Stadium in Chonburi before facing Japan on September 18 at IPE Chonburi Stadium, Chonburi.
The women’s in red and green will play their last group match against Australia on September 21 at the same venue.
