A 16-member of Bangladesh U-16 Boys Basketball team will leave for Nepal on Sunday (September 3) to take part in the South Asian U-16 Boys Basketball Championship scheduled to be held from September 5-9 in Kathmandu.
Apart from host Nepal, Bangladesh, The Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will take part in the five-day meet. India is under process to join the tournament.
The tournament will be held in league basis while Walton Group is sponsoring Nepal-bound basketball team.
In this regards a press conference was held on Thursday at conference room of Bangladesh Olympic Association to provide all the details of the meet.
Walton Group operative director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) vice president Mainul Islam Monju, BBF general secretary AKSarkar, basketball team’s manager M Ali Hosain, were among others, present on the occasion.
