The Pran RFL U-14 School Handball tournament (boys’ and girls’) began on Sunday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board Najib Ahmed formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest while former BHF President Kazi Abul Hakim was present as special guest.
On the first day of boy’s section matches, Scholastica Uttara beat Saint Gregory’s High School by 10-7 goals after leading the first half by 6-2 goals, Sunny Dale defeated BAF Shaheen College 21-09 goals after dominating the first half by 9-5 goals.
In the day’s girls’ section matches, Heed International School blanked BAF Shaheen School and College by 15-0 goals after dominating the first half by 9-0 goals, Shideshwari Girls’ High School outplayed South Point School and College by 3-0 goals after dominating the first half by 2-0 goals and
Scholastica School defeated Dhanmondi Tutorial by 8-2 goals after leading the first half by 4-2 goals.
A total of 24 school teams– 12 of boys’ and 12 girls’– are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Pran RFL and organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).

Girls’ teams- Sunny Dale, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, South Point School and College, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Heed International, Shaheed Police Smrity College, Scholastica Uttara, Schoilastica Mirpur, Shaheed Bir Uttama Anwar College, Kadamtola Purbo Bashabo School and College, Shideshwari Girls’ High School and BAF Shaheen College.
