An U-12 boy was selected as the ambassador from Bangladesh to take part in Gazprom’s 5th Season of the Football for Friendship Programme to be held from June 26 to July 3, 2017 in Russia.
The trial programme was held on April 16 at Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) artificial turf, source BFF online.The BFF’s Technical and Strategic Director Paul Thomas Smalley scouted the player amidst more than two hundred keen young footballers.
The selected representative is Galam Rabbi, son of Bashir Uddin Khan, who studies in the 6th grade of Narayanganj Alam Chand High School.
For the first time ever, Bangladesh is going to take part in the programme as one of the 64 participating countries.
The tournament will be held to promote the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017.
