Police on Thursday morning recovered bodies of two from field at Dhopadi Beharapara under Abhaynagar upazila.
They were hacked and tortured to death, Sairuddin Ahmed, officer in charge, Abhaynagar police station.
The officer in-charge told New Nation that being informed by the locals Abhaynagar police recovered the unidentified bodies aged between 30 and 40 from a lonely field at around 11am.’ The bodies wore marks of tortures,’ he added.
‘Reason of the killing could not be known immediately’, the OC further said.
Nazrul Islam Mallik, a local journalist told that a pull of blood was seen on the spot. They could be abducted from a far area and were killed on the spot.
The bodies were sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital for post mortem examination.
