Police in an anti-drug drive at Tan Sidla in Sidla Union under Hossainpur Upzila of Kishoreganj arrested two women yaba traders on Monday midnight.
Police also arrested mother-in-law of one of the traders and recovered 1252 pieces yaba tablets of Tk 7,400 and one motorcycle from their possession.
The arrested person were Mahara Khatun (56), wife of Helal Mia and her Son’s wife Taniya Akter (22), wife of Bipul Mia of village Tan Sidla under Hossainpur upazila.
Hossainpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hossain told The New Nation that the arrested women were peddling drugs in the area for long time.
A case was filed in this connection with Hossainpur Police Station.
They were sent to District Jail.
