A court here today sentenced father and son to death and two others to life imprisonment for killing a housewife at Tafalbaria village under Patharghata upazila of the district in 2006.
District and Session Judge Md Nazrul Islam found the convicts guilty of the murder charge and pronounced the verdict in a jam- packed courtroom this noon.
The two convicts, who have been given the capital punishment are Khalilur Rahman, 50, and his son Ismail Hossain, 30. The other convicts Khadija Begum, 40, wife of Khalilur Rahman and her daughter in law Khusi Begum, 25, were sentenced to life term.
