Two teenage girls of ethnic minority were found dead at Jangal Mahadevpur hilly village in Sitakunda upazila on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Sukhlati Tripura, 15, daughter of Falin Trpura and Chhobi Rani Tripura, 12, daughter of Sumon Tripura of the village.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the bodies from a house in Tripura Para around 8 pm and sent those to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy, said Mozammel Haq, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Sitakunda Police Station.
The cause of their death could not be known immediately, he added.
Father of Sukhlati Tripura alleged that stalker Abul Hossain and his associates killed the girls after ‘rape’ as his daughter refused the proposal to build up love affair.
