Sheikh Kamal Club Cup: Two teams from India reach Chittagong

Kolkata Kingfisher East Bengal Club and Kolkata Mohammedan Sporting Club, the two teams from India reached at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Sunday to take part in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football Tournament scheduled to be held at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong from October 20.
The members of Kingfisher East Bengal Club and Kolkata Mohammedan Sporting Club are now staying at the Hotel Peninsula in Chittagong.
The hosts of the tournament received the members of the two teams with bouquet at the Shah Amanat International Airport.
Chittagong Abahani Limited will arrange the gala extravaganza with the cooperation of Bangladesh Football Federation.
A total of eight teams from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will compete in the football tournament.
Eight teams splitting into two groups will participate in the football competition.
Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, Kolkata Mohammedan Sporting Club, De Spinghar Bazan Club of Afghanistan, Solid FC of Sri Lanka have been billed in Group A while Hosts Chittagong Abahani Limited, Dhaka Abahani Limited, Kolkata Kingfisher East Bengal Club, Karachi Electric FC of Pakistan have been placed in Group B.
The champions of the Tournament will be awarded US dollars 25,000 while the runners-up of the meet will get US dollars 10,000.
All participating teams will be given Tk 5,00,000 each as participation money.
