Two succumb to burn injuries over dowry dispute

Aunty and her niece succumbed to their burn injuries over allegedly dowry dispute at Bhola and Barishal on Saturday.
 Injured another one of that incident admitted at Barishal SBMCH in critical condition.
The victims were identified as Surma Begum, 26, wife of Rafik from Deula of Borhanuddin upazila and died at the spot and her niece Khadiza Begum, 08, daughter of Rafizal from Charvuta area under Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district, died at SBMCH.
Condition of Ankura Begum, 28, mother of Khadiza, admitted at SBMCH, remained critical till this report and body of dead victim Khadiza sent to morgue for autopsy, said Abul Kalam, ward master of SBMCH.
Mir Khairul Kabir, officer in charge of Lalmohan police station, quoting family sources of the victims, said there were family disputes between Surma and her husband Rafik over demanding dowry. Her husband leaving her went away about ten days ago.
Then Surma coming to her sister Ankura’s house went on sleep on Friday night.
On Friday late night some unidentified miscreants entering inside the house of Ankura set fire inside their bedroom.
At that time severely burnt Surma died at the spot and local people rushed to the spot immediately rescuing the other two victims sent to Barishal SBMCH, where Khadiza died on Saturday noon and another injured Ankura, mother of Khadiza, remained admitted in critical condition.
Preparation for lodging case with Lalmohon police station was going on till this report, the police official said.
