Two persons, including a woman, were stabbed to death in the city’s Darussalam and Airport areas in last 16 hours since Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Shaheen, 16, son of one Delwar Hossain from Tolarbag area of Darussalam, and Rabeya Taslima, 25, wife of Nazmul from Airport area, police said.
Darussalam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Selim-uz-Zaman said, Shaheen was stabbed to death by some of his familiar youths in Darussalam area around 9:00pm on Thursday.
Shahin died en route to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for excess bleeding , the OC said.
Rubeya was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband Nazmul following a quarrel around 12:30pm near Dhaka Airport Railway Station, said Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector of DMCH police outpost.
