Two people were killed in separate incidents in Alkaran area of the city early Friday.
Jashim Uddin, OC of Kotwali Police Station, said Rafiq, 48, manager of a restaurant, was stabbed to death and it’s another staff was injured by their co-worker in the area early Friday.
Quoting the injured, Anwar Hossain, police said Rafiq had an altercation with the restaurant employee, Sanjay Tripura, over a trifling matter around 2:30 am. At one stage, Sanjay stabbed Rafiq and Anwar indiscriminately, leaving Rafiq dead on the spot.
Meanwhile, Mobin, 23, a barber was killed when a customer named Jashim hit him with a sharp weapon at a salon around 12:30 am over a trifling matter.
