Two minor sons have allegedly been killed by father at Chintamoni Village under Dayamir Union of Osmaninagar Upazila in Sylhet on Monday noon as per reports reaching here.
It has been learnt from the locals and Osmaninagar UZ Police that Satir Ali together with his two sons Mumin (11) of class III and Rujel (7) of class I, students of Chintamoni Govt. Primary School, went on fishing at a village side ditch. Mumin came back to house at noon with a basketful fish and went back to join his father and brother. But with the nightfall, when none of them returned home, their relatives and other kindreds set out searching them and found the dead bodies of the two minor consanguinary brothers in the ditch. The local people and the relatives of deceased said that Satir has been psychiatrically disordered and suspected him to be killer of his two sons.
Additional Police Superintendent and District Police Media Officer Shuggyan Chakma confirmed the killing of two minor sons. A case has been lodged with Osmaninagar UZ Police who arrested the mad father this morning. This gruesome murder has become talk of the town in Sylhet City all day long.
