Police on Friday noon recovered two sisters’ dead bodies from their home at Goneshpur area under ward no-20 of the city. The deceased were identified as- Sumaiya Akhter Mim, 16, and Jannatul Mawa, 14.
Locals and police said, Sumaiya Akhter Mim, d/o Moksedul Islam and Jannatul Mawa, d/o Mominul Islam were cousins who used to live in the same home. Police found the dead body of Sumaiya Akhter Mim hanging with a ceiling fan in a room and Jannatul Mawa lying on the floor in another room of the house.
Additional police commissioner, Rangpur Metropolitan, Kawsar Ahamed said, police reached the spot on information and sent the dead bodies to Rangpur Medical College Hospital [RMCH] for post mortem examination.
