Two Shibir leaders re-arrested

Police in the port city again arrested two leaders of Islami Chattra Shibir, student front of Jamaat-e-Islami, from the Central Jail gate Wednesday morning.
The two arrested individuals were identified as Enamul Kabir, 31, central leader of the organisation, and M Mustaq, 28, a Shibir leader of Chittagong division.
Jasim Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station, said some Shibir activists along with Enamul came to Chittagong with an alleged mission to demolish three state-owned oil installations at Patenga during the countrywide hartal enforced by 20-party alliance at the start of the year.
But police arrested the duo after accusing them of a clash took place between police and Shibir men on January 5.
