Two school girls were killed in a road accident due to driver’s reckless driving on the Dhaka-Khulna Highways in Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Chadni Akhter and Jakia Sultana Keya. They were both the students of Class XI of Dawladia Model High School.
Eyewitnesses said that Chadni Akhter and Jakia
Sultana Keya were crossing the Dhaka-Khulna Highways for going to their schools. Just then, a bus of Faridpur-bound Golden Paribahan ran over them, paying no value to human life.
The local rescued them and sent to Goalanda Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared Chadni Akhter dead. Jakia Sultana Keya died on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
The RMO of Goalanda Upazila Health Complex Dr Shahida Parvin, said, Chadni Akhter died before reaching the complex.
