Two teachers of Science Faculty at Rajshahi University rewarded ‘Dean’s Award-2014’ for their outstanding contribution in research arena.
The rewarded teachers are Dr M Atiqur Rahman, associate professor of Applied Math department and Prof Dr M. Khaled Hossain, professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department of the university.
RU authorities on Saturday morning handed over the award to the teachers at the seminar room of the science faculty.
RU Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin was present at the award giving ceremony as the chief guest while Prof. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan and Prof. Sayen Uddin, Pro-VC and treasurer of the university respectively were present in the function as the special guests.
Prof Anwarul Islam, Dean of Science faculty presided over the function while Tahmida Sharmin, Lecturer of Pharmacy department conducted the programme.
Dr Atikur Rahman awarded for a research article on Black Hole titled ‘General Relativity and Cosmology’ and Prof M Khaled Hossain awarded for a research over ‘Poisoning of Arsenic on Environment and People and the Way of Solution’.
