Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) RI Inspector Abdus Salam and RO-1 SI Khairuddin have been sacked and has been ordered to take disciplinary actions against them. At the same time, it has been directed to file a departmental case against them.
This information has been confirmed by BM Ashraf, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (Media). He said, These instructions have been given to the SMP commissioner in a separate order signed by Rezaul Haque, Additional DIG of Police Headquarters (D&PS-1).
It is found out that there are allegations of massive irregularities and corruption against these two police officers. News was also published in the media against them.
Recently an investigation committee was formed from the police headquarters. The investigation found the initial allegations against Inspector Abdus Salam and SI Khairuddin to be true. If the investigation proves the truth, action will be ordered against them.
