Two persons were arrested by two teams of Rapid Action Battalion, unit-8 (RAB-8), operating simultaneous drives on early Sunday from Galachipa of Patuakhali and Shantinagor of Dhaka as suspected members of question leakage gang of primary school teacher’s recruitment test.
Md Raisuddin, Additional Superintendent of police and Deputy Commander of RAB-8,holding a press briefing at RAB-8 headquarter in Rupatali area of Barishal on Sunday evening, said among the arrested two Shahadat Hossain Sohag, 35 , son of Habibur Rahman from ward -6 of Galachipa municipality under Patuakhali district was arrested from his native area on early Sunday.
Another one Hasan Mamun, 40, son of Makbul Hossain Haoladar of Rongopaldi under Dashmina police station of Patuakhali district, was arrested from Shantinagor area of Dhaka on the same night. Mobile phones and sets of model question paper also recovered from the arrestees.
In interrogation the arrestees acknowledged that they forming networking group of purchasers at different areas of the countries sold and supplies question papers in the name of model questions or suggestions for primary school teacher’s recruitment tests.
They arrestees also among the members of question leakage gang and thirty-eight members of that gang were arrested from Patuakhali and a case was lodged (no. 64, dated May 31, 2019) against them with Patuakhali Sadar police station, RAB-8 sources said.
