Two persons including a housewife were electrocuted in separate areas in the city yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ala Uddin,27, son of Bazlur Rahman, a security guard of Nahar Agro Products at Khulshi area and Runa Akter,24, wife of Saiful Islam, hailing from Baluchhara area under Biyazid thana.
Police outpost sources at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) said the victim Ala Uddin was electrocuted when he was starting generator at his office Nahar Agro at Khulshi area at 8am .Local people rushed them to CMCH where the attending doctors declared them dead after admission.
Runa Akter, was electrocuted as he came in touch with an electric wire falling beside her residence after being snapped up from the electric pole at Baluchhara area of Byazid thana at 7 am onsaturday. The bodies were sent to the morgue for autopsy.
