Chittagong Bureau :
Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr. Mosharaff Hossain MP said, two more flyovers will be constructed in the port city aimed at mitigating the traffic congestion .
He disclosed it while addressing the views exchanging meeting on ‘ in Ctg city and Development ‘ as arranged by the Chittagong Development Authority at Chittagong circuit house on Thursday as Chief Guest.
The minister said these two flyovers – one from airport to Lalkhan bazaar and another from Muradpur to shah amanat bridge will be constructed with the financial assistance of China. He further said the construction work of Muradpur Lalkhan Bazaar flyover will start in this month.
The speakers in the views exchanging over flyover construction, advised the minister to construct alternative roads instead of costly flyovers.
Among others , Deputy commissioner of Chittagong Mesbahuddin Ahmed , former city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chy , CDA Chairman Abdus Salam, Mostafizur Rahman MP, Didarul Alam MP, Nazrul Islam Chy MP, AL City Secretary AZM Nasiruddin , Police Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol , Police Super Hafiz Akhter, and Chamber President Mahbubul Alam spoke on the occasion.
