Two minor girls drowned on Dauki River in Shaktiargaon village of Chhatak Upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Fahima Begum, 06, daughter of Tazuddin and Tawhida Khatun, 06, daughter of Tunu Mia, of Shaktiargaon village.
Officer-in-Charge of Chhatak Police Station Atikur Rahman said the duo drowned while they were taking bath on the Dauki River.
Police recovered the bodies, said the OC, adding that a case was filed with Chhatak Police Station in this regard.
