At least two underage children drowned in pond in Bajitpur town of Kishoreganj on Saturday before evening.
They were identified as Priya Moni (5) and Rifatul Islam (6).
Locals said that the duo drowned in the pond while playing besides the house. Family members refused them while they were floating in the pond. They were rushed to Jahurul Islam Medical College & Hospital where the on duty doctor pronounced them dead.
Bajitpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shafiqul Islam told The New Nation, an unnatural death case was filed over the incident.
