Two persons were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Kazirhat area under Fatikchhari upazila of the district on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Idris, 60 and Mohammad Osman, 40, both hailed from Nazirhat area under the upazila while the injured was Mohib Ullah.
Police said the accident occurred when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a tempo at Kazirhat area on Chittagong-Nazirhat road around 9pm yesterday, leaving three injured.
The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared Idris and Osman dead, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Pankaj Barua of CMCH police outpost.
