Two killed, one injured in motorcycle -tomtom (locally assembled tempo) clash on Baufal-Boga road at Baufal upazila under Patuakhali district on early Tuesday.
The dead victims were identified as Nayeem, 14, son of Nur Alam Molla and Pavel, 17, son of Abdul Mannan Mia of Rajnagor area of the upazila and students of class-X of Boga High School.The injured Rubel, 20, was elder brother of dead Pavel.
Naresh Chandra Karmakar, Baufal police station officer in charge, said the three victims riding on motorcycle were going to attend a marriage ceremony on Monday night.
Few minutes after starting journey the motorcycle driver Rubel loosing control collided with a tomtom.
Local people rushed the spot rescued the motorcycle riders and Nayeem died at the spot
Injured Pavel and Rubel, two siblings were sent to Baufal upazila health complex in critical condition and from there referred to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital.
On the way Pavel also succumbed to injuries early Tuesday and Rubel admitted at SBMCH.
Dead bodies sent to Patuakhali general hospital morgue and police seized the motorcycle and tomtom after lodging a case of unnatural deaths, said OC Baufal PS.
