A freedom fighter and a minor girl were killed in separate incidents in Tongi and Sreepur upazilas here on Friday.
In Tongi, a freedom fighter was kicked to death
allegedly by his daughter in Marishpara area in the morning.
The deceased was identified as Fazlul Haque, 70, a resident of the area.
Abul Khayer, sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station, said Fazlul’ s daughter Farzana Yasmin Munni, 37, kicked him at one stage of altercation over family affairs in the morning, leaving him critically injured.
Later, Fazlul succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
In Sreepur, a minor girl was slaughtered by some miscreants in Chakpara area in the early morning.
The deceased was identified as Naznin, 7, daughter of Hasmat Ali Hashu of the area.
Some miscreants entered Hasmat’s house and slaughtered his daughter following previous enmity, said Aminur Rahman, sub-inspector of Sripur Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Shahid Tajuddin Medical College Hospital morgue.
