Chittagong Bureau :
Two workers involved with the illegal hill cutting died of landslide during cutting time yesterday early morning.
The incident occurred at Deang Pahar under Anowara upazila area on south bank of river Karnaphuli. Police and eye witnesses sources said an influential land grabbing gang every day is cutting the hills aimed at selling to others which continuingly occurring in every night.
Sources said one worker named Rustom died on the spot when the earth fell upon them while cutting and another Lakkan injured critically who succumbs later to his injury in the hospital, sources said.
None was arrested in this connection as yet till writing this report. The truck so ready for carrying the earth quickly escaped from the spot after the incident, sources added.
