Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three suspected drug peddler including two journalists from Modhodhanghora village in Sadar upazila on Monday night.
The arrestees were identified as Al Amin, Golam Rabbani Musa, executive editor of a local weekly magazine and Rojot Kanti, a journalist of a local daily.
Captain Ashraf Hossain of Rab-13 said on a tip-off, members of the elite force conducted a drive at Modhodhanghora village in the dead of night and seized 2880 pieces of Yaba, cash and mobile phone worth of Tk 15 lakh..
However, sensing the presence of law enforcers, the drug dealers managed to flee from the scene.
Later, the two journalists along with Al Amin were arrest from the same area in this connection.
A case was filed with Sadar Police Station.against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act 1990.
