In separate incidents, two leaders of Jubo League, the youth wing of Awami League, were hacked to death in Bogra and Natore districts on Thursday night.
In Bogra, Manik, 28, president of Sabgram Bandar unit of Jubo League in the district town and son of Tofazzal Hosain of the area, was chopped to death
by party rivals over establishing supremacy in the locality.
Locals said there had been a longstanding dispute between two Jubo League groups-one led by Samrat and the other by Manik.
As a sequel of the rivalry, opponents hacked Manik in Sabgram area around 8:15pm, leaving him seriously injured.
