UNB, Dhaka :
Two suspected miscreants, who were killed in a reported ‘gunfight’ with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the city’s Jatrabari area early Wednesday, were identified on Thursday.
Relatives of the deceased went to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the evening and identified them, said hospital sources.
They are: Md Jahidul Islam Jihad, 33, a vegetable
trader and son of Abul Khayer Bhuiyan of Mirzapur Bhuiyanbari in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur, and Sakhawat Hossain Rahat, 19, an employee of a motor shop at Farmgate and son of Alamgir Hossain of Raipur of the same district.
Jihad and Rahat were killed during a ‘gunfight’ with members of Rab-10 at Katherpool, Matuail in between 2am and 2:30am on Wednesday.
