A bridegroom and elder brother of the bride were jailed for a month each during a marriage ceremony by a mobile court at Munshi Khanpur under Monirampur upazila in Jessore.
Mobile court and local sources said Kamruzzaman, assistant commissioner, land, Monirampur handed down the verdict of imprisonment for a month to bridegroom Saiful Hossain Milton, son of Babul Fakir of Kota village under Abhaynagar upazila and Faruk Hossain of Munshi Khanpur under Monirampur upazila at the time of marriage ceremony of schoolchild female at around 9pm on Monday.
