Two factions of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Dhaka College have clashed at a Milad, or prayer meeting, organised on the occasion of a leader’s death anniversary.
Two students of the college were injured in the fight on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost SI Md Bachchu Mia identified the two as ‘Rahamat’ and ‘Rubel’. They had wounds on their hands and heads, he said.
One of the witnesses, an activist of the ruling Awami League’s student wing, told bdnews24.com on condition of anonymity that two groups of the Ilias Hall BCL unit fought over taking photos at the Milad.
