A leader of the Chittagong University (CU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was killed in a road accident in Dagonbhuiyan area of Feni on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Imamul Hoque Rasel, 26, son of Sourabh Hossain, hailed from Senbag upazila of Noakhali district. He was a fourth-year (Hons) student of the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences of CU and an organising secretary of the CU unit of BCL, campus sources said. Rasel, who was going to his village home, was critically injured when a speedy truck knocked his motorcycle in the area around 8 am.
He was rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital but later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead around 12 pm, said Nayek Jahangir Alam of CMCH Police Outpost.
Another reports adds: A youth was killed as a three-wheeler hit his bicycle in Khulshi area of Chittagong city on Monday afternoon. The deceased was Toufiqul Islam, 20 of Agrabad area in the city. Critically injured Toufiqul was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Nayek of CMCH Police Camp Jahangir Alam.
