Two separate teams of Government Railway Police (GRP) and Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two persons including a women drug peddler in the city’s Kamalapur and Rampura areas respectively, law enforcers said.

(OC) Abdul Majid said that a team of the GRP police arrested a man with 42 pieces of Yaba tablets around 11:00am. The arrested person has been identified as Saiful Islam, 20.
He is being interrogated in this connection, the OC said.
In another incident, The DB’s Sub-Inspector (SI) said that a team of the DB conducted a drive at Banasree Oxford Goli of Rampura following an information and arrested a woman drug peddler with some bottles of phensidyle. The arrested woman has been identified as Rahima, 35.
