Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested two alleged drug dealers along with 784 bottles of Phynsidyl syrup from Motijheel area in the city on Thursday.

The arrestees are Maksud Ali alias Jonny, 26,
and Sabbir Ahmed alias Setu, 25.
Based on secret information, a team of the specialised anti-crime unit conducted a drive near Sundarban Courier Service of Motijheel at noon and arrested the two alleged drug dealers along with the contraband syrup, said sources at the CTTC.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees revealed that they brought the contraband drug item from Chapainawabganj. A case was filed with Motijheel Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act over the incident.
