Detective Branch of Police (DB) arrested two alleged drug smugglers along with 1,000 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup in Alipur check post area of Bhomra Port Road in sadar upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Badsha Mridha, 30, son of Saheb Ali in Latabaria upazila of Barguna district, and Raju Hossain, 18, son of Sultan Akhand of the same upazila.
Azmal Huda, officer-in-charge of Satkhira DB police, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in Bhomra Port Road area where they arrested the duo with 1,000 bottles of Phensidyl syrup.
