BGB members arrested two alleged smugglers from Wahedpur and Raghunathpur frontiers under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Thursday night.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sumon Mia, 26, son of Moktar Hossain of Babupur Kadamtala village and Isarul Islam, 35, son of Ainal Hossain of Jagannathpur village both under Shibganj upazila of the district.
BGB said separate patrol teams of BGB from Wahedpur and Raghunathpur Border Out Posts (BOP) raided two areas near border pillars no. 13/3-S and 10/2-S at around 10-30 pm and held them as they were trying to enter into Indian territory crossing the borders.
Both of them were handed over to the police of Shibganj thana today at around 10 am with cases.
