Ishwardi police arrested two people for allegedly taking thousands of taka from job aspirants at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) Project at Paksey, Ishwardi in the district on Sunday night .
Police sources said , two members of the cheating group were arrested in a raid from Pakshey Union of Ishward .
The arrested are Mohan, son of Taksed Ali of Hirmdiya village of Bheramara Union of Kushtia and Lokman Hossain, son of Ratan Mollah of Chand village. During the arrest, fake identity cards, CVs of job seekers , recruitment letter and various fake journalist identity cards were seized from them.
Inspector Arvind Sarkar, of Ishwardi police station, said , members of the arrested gang were cheating in the name of giving government jobs in RNPP Project .
The members of the gang work in groups to trap the target persons . The unemployed youth, who was hoping to get jobs are being cheated by the gang .
