Two girl students of Setabganj Ideal Academy School drowned in Tulai River at Akhapur in Bochaganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Monday.
The bodies of two students were recovered from the Tulai River in Bochaganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Sajia Jahan Twaki, 15, daughter of Kazi Obaidullah of Madrasa road area and Faria Ahmed Trina, 15, daughter of Farooque Ahmed of Kolagachhi village, in Bochaganj upazila. Both girls were the class X students of Setabganj Ideal Academy.
Family sources said the girls alongwith other friends went to take a bath in the river on Monday afternoon. All the friends except the two came out of the river after finishing bath.
The body of Faria was found floating at 9am and Sajia at 4pm on Tuesday.
