Two friends were killed while visiting Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj on Thursday.
Police recovered the bodies from a mess in Kanchpur’s Kazipara. One was found in slit-throat condition, while another was hanging by a rope at11:30 am.
The deceased were identified as Minarul, 27, son of Ershadul Islam from Jorabari in Domar upazila of Nilphamari and Maznu, 30, son of Dilu Mia from Kamania village under same police station. In fact they were friends.
Locals said that they went there to visit a relative named Badsha Mia, who lives in a rented house of one Hasina Begum at Sonapur Kalabagan in Sonargaon on Wednesday night. In the morning, locals found their bodies and informed police.
Farid Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sonargaon Police Station said it seemed to us that the two friends had a conflict at night and at one point Maznu killed Minarul and later committed suicide.
However, the incidents are being investigated. Deceased’s relative Badsha Mia and house owner Hasina Begum are absconding following the incident.
