Two people were found slaughtered in a flour mill in Nitaiganj Khalghat area of the district town on Sunday morning.
Police recovered the bodies of Abdul Aziz,55, night guard of the mill and son of Mala Baks of Paikpara of the district town and Hossain Miah,40, a worker and a resident of Chandpur district, from the mill at around 7:45 am. Monjur Kader, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said the workers of the mill found the bodies of Aziz and Hossain lying in a pool of blood inside the mill when they came to their workplace in the morning and informed police.
Later, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately, the OC added.
