Two female snatchers held from Kapasia Health Complex

Authorities arrested two female snatchers while trying to snatch the gold chain from their necks while they were waiting to see a doctor. The incident took place at noon on Wednesday at the Kapasia Upazila Health Complex in Gazipur. The police completed the investigation within 18 hours and filed a charge sheet in the court.
Hospital and police sources said Ambia Begum (55), wife of Jalaluddin Bepari of Barahar Marulia Para in Rayed Union of the upazila, went to the Upazila Health Complex with her son Selim Bepari and daughter Hamida on Wednesday afternoon. They were waiting in front of the chamber after registering as there were more candidates for the service of Dr. Mamunur Rahman of the hospital. At that moment, in the middle of the crowd, two women wearing black burqas tried to escape by pulling Ambia Begum’s neck chain. People in the vicinity of Mosa: Samshunnahar (25), husband-Md. Sadek Mia, father-in-law-Gedu Mia, Sang-Pahelabari, Union Golla, Ward 8, Thana-Madhabpur, District-Habiganj and Nilufa Begum (35), husband-Md. Shastu Mia , Shashur-Mohammad Ali, Sang-Dharmandal arrested Saadi Kamla’s Uttar Para, Ward No-8, Union-Dharmandal, Thana-Nasirnagar, District-Brakshanbaria. Later, Ambia’s son Md. Selim Bepari became a plaintiff and filed a case under Sections 1860 and 379/511 of the Penal Code with the Kapasia Police Station.
Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) of the police station Md. Anwar Hossain, PPM, took charge of the investigation of the case of BP-6988029731 (FIR No. 8/158 of Kapasia Police Station). When the two women kidnappers in police custody were questioned in front of the people present, they said they stole in connivance with each other. After completing the investigation of the case within 18 hours, he submitted the charge sheet No. 160, dated 09/9/2021 AD of Kapasia Police Station to the wise court
