Farmer Kalam Gazi (55) and Aminul Khan (35) died in a lightning strike in Sharankhola on Sunday morning.
They on the spot while planting Aman seedlings in northern Rajapur and Khajurbaria villages of the upazila.
Witnesses and neighbors farmer Abul Khan and Ashraf Khan said , they were working on planting Aman seedlings in their land. Kalam Ghazi’s body was burnt to death at around 10 am . He is the son of Zafar Gazi of that village.
Meanwhile, Aminul Khan, son of Nurul Huq Khan of that village, lost his life in separate lightning of Khajurbaria village of the district.
At that time, the farmers in the neighboring lands ran out of fear and ran horribly.
