The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Wednesday appointed two professors as acting Dean of Social Sciences Faculty and Law and Justice Faculty.
Professor Dr. Rasheda Akhter of Anthropology department and Professor Bashir Ahmed of Government and Politics department were appointed as the acting Dean of Social Science faculty and Law and Justice Faculty respectively. JU Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique confirmed it through two separate office orders on Thursday. Dean of Social Science Faculty Professor Md Amir Hussain and Dean of Law and Justice Faculty Professor Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq have been released from their respective faculties as they have been appointed as the Pro VC and Treasure of the university, the office order said.
