Chittagong Metropolitan Police in separate drives arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 80 pieces of Yaba tablets from different places in city early Sunday.
The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 29, and Hasibul Islam, 23, both hailed from Halishahor thana in the city.
Halishahor thana police said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in Eidgah Bou-Bazar Amtal area at 12.21 am last night and arrested Saiful Islam.
Police recovered 50 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession.
Meanwhile, another team of Doublemooring thana police arrested Hasibul along with 30 pieces of Yaba tablets from Agrabad area at 5 am today.
