Two people died in a stampede in an Esal-e-Sawab mahfil (a religious event) in Fultoly village Jakigangj upazila of Sylhet on Sunday night.
A case was logged in Zakigong Police station OC of Zakigong Habibur Rahman informed it on Monday.
On Sunday night around 8:00pm during collecting food 2 person died stampede. One is
Jitu miah Chowdhury Son of Mokbul Hossain Chowdhury Nogory Khapon Village in Osmani nogor Upazila. Another person name not found this time. 10 Person were sent to Upazila Health complex and give first aid. Some were sent to sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Additional police super of Sylhet Sugyan Chakma said, the stampede occurred Sunday night around 8:00pm when the devotees were collecting food during the programme arranged seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Maulana Abdul Latif Chowdhury Fultoly.
