Two people have been killed and four others injured as a covered van collided head-on with a CNG run auto-rickshaw in the city’s Colonel Hat area. One of the victims was identified as Mohammad Alauddin, 33, son of Abu Bakar Siddique, hailed from Sitakund upazila of the district while the identity of another victim could not be known immediately.
The accident took place in the area around 11: 30 pm on Saturday when the Chattogram -bound covered van collided headed on with a CNG- run auto-rickshaw, leaving six people injured, said Nayak Mohammad Amir of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital police outpost.
Later, locals took the injured persons to the hospital where the attending doctors declared two of them dead. Police could not able to detain the covert van.
