Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Nabiganj’s Habiganj on Friday .
The accident happened on Friday night at Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Aaingaon area of Nabiganj Upazila.
The deceased were identified as Shimul Ahmed, son of Ajmat Mia of Gajanipur village and Nayeem Ahmed, son of Arju Mia of the same village.
Nabiganj Police Station OC Iqbal Hossain said, ‘The two youths were going to Gajnipur on motorcycle from Debpara on Friday night. While reaching the Aaingaon, a speeding truck from Sylhet to Dhaka hit a motorcycle. Shimul and Nayeem were killed on the spot.’ In this incident, the traffic on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway was closed for nearly an hour. After receiving information, Sherpur Highway Police reached the spot and normalized the situation.
