A two-day ‘Jatiya Shishu Utsab’ will begin on
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) premises today under the auspices of BSA and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
‘Shilpo Britto’ will organise the festival on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid will inaugurate the festival at Chitrashala auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 5pm.
Lawmaker Mohammad Habib Hasan, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote President Golam. Quddus, Bangladesh Recitation Coordination Council General Secretary Ahkam Ullah and actress Aruna Biswas will be present as special guests at the inaugural function.
Besides, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque will be present as the chief guest on the closing day of the festival on Saturday. Member of Parliament Shamsul Alam, Shilpakala Academy Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky and eminent educationist and social worker M K Bashar will be present as special guests at the concluding ceremony.
